On 2nd of April 2006 I'm off to volunteer for 10 weeks at Moholoholo and Off-beat Safaris, with this company African Conservation Experience.
I spend 6 weeks at Moholo, at the rehab centre working wth animals, and 4 weeks at off-beat, which is more focused on preserving ecology.

Off-beat is a rustic, tranquil bush lodge, set in a private game reserve not far from the Krugar National Park. The most ecologically friendly way one can traverse the bush is on horseback, and the sensitivity of horses to game makes them ideal partners in exercises such as game counts. Volunteers at Offbeat will take part in local conservation such a alien plant clearance, soil erosion control and fence patrols, as well as helping out at local schools as part of a nature education programme.
